Call It a Resurrection

So… 2020. It’s pretty optimistic to be reviving my website and blog in the middle of this godforsaken year, but here I am.

Having finally given up on Wordpress, I’m now able to approach some aesthetic cohesion with my site without punching myself in the head while trying in vain to wrangle PHP. I’ve made the decision to pull most of my original posts out from the cobwebs and gradually repost them here, 1. because some contain passably decent writing and, 2. there’s a ton of nostalgic dark humor to be had looking back at a time when we truly thought we knew what the bottom was. I’ll obviously tag these with the original post date and, where appropriate, add some additional or updated content.

I suspect my ultimate goal, as far-fetched as it sounds now, is to continue the process of extracting myself from Zuckerberg’s slimy, blood-stained grip and the millstone that is corporate-owned social media and get back to a more DIY approach to online information exchange. We’ll see how that goes.
